Lagos State Trains Youth on Financial Literacy to Foster Responsible Leadership and Fiscal Discipline

In a proactive step to empower the next generation of leaders, the Lagos State Government, through its Ministry of Finance, has organised a one-day capacity-building programme on “Financial Literacy and Management” for members of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Lagos Chapter.

Held at the STO Resource Centre, Debt Management Office, Alausa, the training brought together dozens of young leaders to learn practical strategies for managing personal and public finances — a timely initiative amidst today’s complex economic realities.

Declaring the programme open, Mr. Mahmud Tajudeen Alao, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, reiterated the state’s commitment to youth empowerment through financial education.
