Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, and Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, alongside key APC stakeholders in Kano State, have pledged their full support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

The party leaders also vowed to unseat the incumbent New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) administration in Kano. This declaration comes amid attempts by the APC national leadership to integrate the Kwakwanso-led faction of the NNPP into the ruling party.

Speaking to newsmen after a closed-door meeting in Abuja, Ganduje affirmed that APC stakeholders in Kano are united and determined to ensure the party regains the governorship in 2027. Deputy Senate President Jibrin described the meeting as strategic, emphasizing that party leaders are mobilizing the people for the tasks ahead.

Other prominent attendees included the Minister of State for Housing, Alhaji Abdullahi Atta; Senator Kawu Sumaila; Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation, Hon. Abubakar Kabir Abubakar; former Governor of Kano State, Senator Kabiru Gaya; Sulaiman Bichi; Hon. Mohammed Garba; and several serving and former national and state assembly members and commissioners.
