In a major stride toward digital governance, the Federal Government has formally activated the 1Government Cloud Enterprise Content Management System (1Gov CMS), marking a significant step in the implementation of its Nigeria First Policy.
The system, launched by the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, is a cornerstone in the government’s plan to transition to a fully paperless civil service, aiming to enhance efficiency, transparency, and ease of document management across federal institutions.
Officials describe the initiative as a critical modernization effort, streamlining processes, reducing bureaucracy, and supporting better service delivery to Nigerians. This move reflects the administration’s commitment to leveraging technology to improve governance and public sector performance.
As the 1Gov CMS is rolled out across ministries and agencies, it is expected to set a new standard for digital operations in the Nigerian civil service, further aligning the country with global best practices in e-governance.
