The Kano State Police Command has taken decisive action in response to a gruesome attack that claimed the lives of a woman and her six children in the Dorayi Chiranchi area of Kano metropolis, arresting three principal suspects in an intelligence‑led operation as part of efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice. According to a statement issued by the police, officers received a distress call at approximately 12:10 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, reporting that hoodlums had forced their way into the residence of Haruna Bashir in Dorayi Chiranchi Quarters, where they attacked his wife, Fatima Abubakar, 35, and her six children with dangerous weapons. The victims were found with severe injuries and were quickly evacuated to Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital, where medical professionals confirmed all seven were dead on arrival.
