Enugu State Police Command Cracks Down on Armed Robbery and Cult Networks

The Enugu State Police Command has intensified its fight against violent crimes, arresting 13 suspects involved in conspiracy, armed robbery, unlawful possession of firearms, and cult-related activities. The arrests were made during a series of recent tactical and intelligence-guided operations, which also resulted in the recovery of firearms, vehicles, and other incriminating evidence.

The operations led to the arrest of suspects linked to the Vikings Confraternity and the Black Axe Confraternity. The suspects were arrested in various locations, including Oyofo-Oghe in Ezeagu LGA, Port Harcourt in Rivers State, and Umuasi Ngwo in Udi Local Government Area. The police recovered two suspected stolen vehicles, a cut-to-size double-barreled gun, and other exhibits.

The cases are under active investigation, and efforts are being intensified to arrest the remaining suspects still at large. Once the investigations are concluded, the cases will be charged to court. The police are working to apprehend the fleeing suspects and bring them to justice.
