
In a ceremony held at Lagos House, Ikeja, on Monday, August 25, 2025, Hon. Okeowo Olufemi Akanbi officially assumed office as the newly elected Chairman of Ifelodun Local Council Development Area (LCDA). The swearing-in ceremony was administered by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who emphasized the importance of good governance, accountability, and service to the people of Ifelodun.
Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, Secretary to the State Government Barr. Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, Attorney-General & Commissioner for Justice Mr. Lawal Pedro, and Commissioner for Chieftaincy Affairs & Rural Development Hon. Kayode Roberts were among the distinguished guests who witnessed the historic event. Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Tayo Ayinde, also attended, underscoring the administration’s commitment to local government development.
