Gandun Wasagu community in Wasagu Ward, Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State, has been thrown into fear and uncertainty after armed bandits launched another violent attack on farmers this afternoon. Several individuals were reportedly abducted during the raid.
The incident comes less than ten days after a previous assault in the same community, which saw more than 40 residents kidnapped. The recurrence of such attacks has heightened tension across the area, leaving locals calling urgently for increased protection and immediate relief from security agencies.
Community leaders and residents have raised alarm over what they describe as a growing pattern of insecurity, urging authorities to deploy stronger measures to safeguard vulnerable populations in the region.
As Kebbi continues to face repeated banditry incidents, the latest attack underscores the urgent need for coordinated security interventions to protect rural communities and prevent further loss of lives and livelihoods.
