According to the police, the victim was discovered at about 8:00 p.m. by two Good Samaritans — Mr. Naziru Ibrahim and Mr. Ibrahim Mohammed — who immediately rushed him to Sahad Hospital in Apo Resettlement for urgent medical attention. As of the latest update, the boy remains unconscious and is receiving care at the medical facility.
The identity of the victim remains unknown, and police efforts are currently focused on establishing who he is, how he came to be injured, and tracing his family or legal guardians. Officers at the scene believe the boy may have been struck by a vehicle and left at the roadside, but official conclusions are pending further investigation.
In a public appeal issued on 12 December 2025, the FCT Police Command urged well-meaning members of the public to assist in identifying the victim or provide any relevant information related to the incident. The police reiterated the importance of community cooperation in speeding up the investigation and ensuring the safety and welfare of the injured teen.

As the investigation continues, authorities have called on motorists and residents in the Apo area and beyond to come forward with any eyewitness accounts or dashcam footage that may shed light on the vehicle involved or the movements of the victim prior to the event.
