The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has issued an urgent public notice warning citizens about a fraudulent website circulating online that falsely claims to provide Nationwide Online Voter Card Registration services. The Commission clarified that the site, accessible via https://snaplink.linksnapro.com/online-registration, is not affiliated with INEC and should not be used under any circumstances.

INEC stressed that the fake portal may attempt to collect sensitive personal data from unsuspecting users, which could lead to identity theft or other forms of fraud. The Commission strongly advised the public not to click on the link or submit any personal information to the site.

To ensure safe and legitimate voter registration processes, citizens are reminded that all official Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) services, including:

  • New voter registration

  • Transfer of voter registration

  • Correction of personal information

  • Replacement of lost or damaged Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs)

are only available through INEC’s verified official portal: https://cvr.inecnigeria.org

INEC urges all eligible voters to remain vigilant, verify electoral information through official channels, and protect their personal data by using only authorised platforms. This announcement comes as part of the Commission’s ongoing effort to safeguard electoral integrity and prevent fraud ahead of upcoming elections.
