Six of the ten student leaders who participated in the recent election to select new executives for the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Joint Campus Council (JCC), Lagos Axis have rejected what they describe as an attempt to alter the declared outcome of the poll. The group, identifying itself as the Concerned Senators of NANS JCC, Lagos Axis, issued a statement on Sunday outlining their concerns and raising questions about the conduct of the convention chairman and the handling of the results declared by voting delegates.
The controversy centers on the election held to select new executives for the Lagos Axis, a key regional arm of NANS that brings together student representatives from tertiary institutions across Lagos State.
