A Nigerian man has gone viral on social media after unleashing a torrent of rage against singer Chike, accusing him of disgracing the Igbo community by allegedly sleeping with the estranged wife of veteran TV host Frank Edoho. In a video that has been widely shared, the unidentified man, speaking in Pidgin English, declared that the singer’s career should be cancelled and that any man who invites Chike to his wedding is inviting a curse. “E no go better for you, your musical career go die. I hate you for life. You are disgrace to manhood, disgrace to Igbo community for sleeping with married woman,” the man said, visibly shaking with anger. His tirade has tapped into a wellspring of public outrage over a controversy that has gripped Nigeria for days, pitting two once‑respected celebrities against each other in a war of leaked audio, counter‑accusations, and public humiliation.
The controversy began when news emerged that Frank Edoho, the former host of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, and his second wife, Sandra Onyenucheya, had separated. Initially, Edoho handled the news with dignity, posting a calm message on Instagram acknowledging that he and his wife had been privately separated for nearly two years and that he had made peace with it. He thanked fans for their support and said he was focused and at peace. But that peace shattered when online gossip blogs, notably Cutie Juls, began circulating allegations that the marriage had collapsed because Sandra was having an affair with singer Chike. In response, an old interview resurfaced in which Edoho said he did not believe a man should forgive a cheating partner, a statement that immediately fuelled speculation.
Then came the audio. A leaked phone conversation between Sandra and Chike was posted online, and it changed everything. In the recording, which has been widely shared, Sandra is heard telling Chike that her husband is “crazy” and suspects their relationship. “He is saying that if I don’t confess, that’s it. Based on the questions he is asking me, I don’t know what to say. He says he doesn’t want to hear anything else because it’s a lie,” Sandra says. Chike, for his part, is heard denying that he discussed their situation with anyone. The authenticity of the recording has not been independently verified, but it has been viewed millions of times across social media platforms, making Chike the villain of the story in the eyes of many.
But Sandra was not about to accept the role of the cheating wife. In a fiery Instagram post titled “Surviving A Bitch Ass Nigga, Frank Edoho,” she launched a blistering counter‑attack. She accused Edoho of serial infidelity, naming specific women she claimed he had affairs with, including Nollywood actress Mbong Amata, BBNaija star Tega Dominic, and socialite Amaka Okeke. “When I was pregnant with our first child, you would rather have a prolonged affair that lasted years with an actress, Mbong Amata, amongst other women. Where do I even begin?” she wrote. She also alleged that Edoho pressured her to abort their second child, squandered her money, and relied on her financially. “I single‑handedly sponsored your lavish lifestyle. I single‑handedly paid all your bills, the trips, business class tickets, 5‑star hotels, luxury trips, all the home bills including that of the other children from your previously failed marriage,” she claimed.
Edoho did not remain silent for long. In his own public statement, he confirmed that the leaked information was “very true,” and alleged that he had confronted Chike personally, recording their conversations. “Since December 2022 till January last year (2025), that news that came out is very true. I approached that stupid guy because this is my second marriage. I asked him if he knew who I was and he was shaking like a leaf,” Edoho said. He claimed that despite his appeals, the affair continued, and that Sandra actively encouraged the relationship with the singer. He also revealed that he left the marriage for three months before Sandra persuaded him to return, and that divorce proceedings began after she discovered he had moved on emotionally.
The leaked audio and the cross‑accusations have opened old wounds for Edoho, whose first marriage to broadcaster Katherine Obiang also ended in divorce. For Sandra, the public backlash has been intense, but she has found support from those who believe her version of events. The women she named have since denied any involvement with Edoho, with Amaka Okeke insisting her relationship with the TV host was strictly professional and later a friendship. Tega Dominic also dismissed the allegation in a brief social media response.
The man who filmed the viral video, who remains anonymous, has become the voice of a section of the public that holds Chike solely responsible for the marital breakdown. “I am better than Chike, I sleep with single. I hate you, you no get level,” he ranted. “Chike suppose to be cancelled. Any man wey invite Chike to wedding, e marriage no go last. Chike is a wicked person, I hate you for life.” His words have been shared thousands of times, and Chike has not yet responded publicly.
As the dust settles, the marriage of Frank Edoho and Sandra Onyenucheya lies in ruins. The man who once hosted Nigeria’s most popular game show now finds himself the subject of a public scandal that has laid bare his private pain. The singer Chike, known for his soulful voice and private demeanour, has become a lightning rod for public anger. And the man in the video, unknown and unnamed, has spoken a verdict that many Nigerians seem to agree with: there are no winners here, only casualties.
