A woman and her four-month-old child abducted during a bandit attack on Ijalu Compound in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State, have been rescued following a swift joint operation by local security operatives and personnel of the Nigerian Army. The victims, identified as Mrs. Idowu Kemi Titilayo and her infant, were freed hours after the attack, which occurred on Wednesday evening, 3 June 2026, along the Solid Rock School axis in the Ijalu area of Egbe.

A source confirmed the development to Egbe Mekun Parrot, stating that efforts are still ongoing to locate and rescue any other victims who may have been taken during the raid. Community sources had earlier confirmed the attack, although the exact number of persons kidnapped could not be immediately established.
