Abuja, October 14, 2025 — Ambassador Umar Iliya Damagum, National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), participated in the quarterly consultative meeting of all registered political parties, convened by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.
The meeting offered a platform for party leaders from across Nigeria to discuss critical electoral issues, review ongoing processes, and strengthen their commitment to upholding and advancing the nation’s democratic institutions.
Deliberations centered on preparations for upcoming elections in Anambra, FCT, Ekiti, and Osun States, as well as assessments of the recent INEC voter registration exercise. Ambassador Damagum and other party leaders exchanged insights and strategies to ensure credible, transparent, and peaceful elections nationwide.
The PDP reaffirmed its dedication to the democratic process, assuring members and supporters that the party’s interests were robustly represented and advocated during the discussions.
