Osun PDP Calls for Investigation into Transfer of Local Government Allocation Case to Abuja

The Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice John Tsoho, to probe the circumstances surrounding the transfer of a case regarding the non-release of local government allocations from the Osogbo division to Abuja.

At a press conference held in Osogbo, PDP Chairman Sunday Bisi described the development as a gross aberration, questioning the legality of aides exercising judicial powers.

Bisi stressed that judicial functions cannot be delegated to a Special Assistant who is not a judicial officer, asserting that any application to move the case should be made openly before the presiding judge in Osogbo. He alleged that the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) acted with “self-induced urgency,” noting that the AGF delayed responding to the Osogbo suit for over 80 days before filing an affidavit of urgency on August 13, 2025.

The PDP chairman called on Justice Tsoho to immediately investigate these irregularities and determine how individuals purportedly working in his office were able to sign letters carrying the force of judicial authority.

Bisi emphasized that the party seeks transparency and adherence to judicial protocols, warning that any breach could undermine public confidence in the legal system.
