The Deputy Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Barr. Abdulraheem Adebayo, on Monday received a delegation of Chinese investors led by Mr. Xin Xianjun, Chairman of Anhui Guchao Commercial Concrete Co., Ltd, who are in the state to explore opportunities in agribusiness and infrastructure development.
During the visit, discussions centred on the State’s ongoing agribusiness transformation agenda, investment opportunities, and areas for Public-Private Partnerships, with the Deputy Governor assuring the investors of the government’s unwavering commitment to creating an enabling environment for business growth. The visit was coordinated in partnership with the Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency, the Oyo State Investment and Public-Private Partnership Agency, and the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone project.
As part of their mission, the investors embarked on site visits to major agribusiness hubs across the state, including Ijaiye, Fasola, Ikere Gorge Dam, and Eruwa, where they assessed facilities and potentials for collaboration. The delegation was made up of representatives from leading Chinese companies in biotechnology, agricultural technology, renewable energy, construction, cement production, and trading, underscoring their strong interest in building long-term partnerships with Oyo State.
