NNPC Highlights Energy Transition, Investment Plans at Brazil-Nigeria Business Forum

On Monday, 25 August 2025, Mr. Udy Ntia, Executive Vice President of Upstream at NNPC Ltd., participated in the New Industries and Energy Transition Session at the Brazil-Nigeria Bilateral Business Forum in Brasilia. The event coincided with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s State Visit to Brazil.

Mr. Ntia outlined NNPC Ltd.’s commitment to meeting presidential production and investment targets for 2027 and 2030, emphasizing ongoing efforts in energy transition, decarbonisation, and exploration of Nigeria’s vast untapped gas reserves. He reaffirmed Nigeria’s readiness for business and investment opportunities, stressing the company’s alignment with national economic goals.

The forum, themed “Partnerships for Development,” gathered policymakers, business leaders, and investors from both countries to consolidate achievements from previous editions and foster collaboration in food security, energy transition, health innovation, and financing.

Key dignitaries in attendance included Honourable Ministers Wale Edun (Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy), Jumoke Oduwole (Industry, Trade and Investment), Festus Keyamo (Aviation and Aerospace Development), and Central Bank Governor Yemi Cardoso, with closing remarks delivered by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

NNPC Ltd. emphasized its dedication to sustainable energy solutions and strategic international partnerships, noting that outcomes from the forum will strengthen Brazil-Nigeria ties and promote mutual prosperity.
