The Adamawa State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with A4&T Power Solutions Limited and Sparrow Mobility Limited to enhance electricity supply and modernize transportation across the state. The agreements were finalized at the Governor’s office in Government House, Yola.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri described the partnerships as a significant step toward economic growth, industrial development, and improved living standards. He assured investors of the state government’s full support in implementing the initiatives.

The first agreement with A4&T Power Solutions aims to generate and distribute electricity statewide, providing reliable power to drive industries, agriculture, and job creation. Commissioner for Works and Energy Development, Hon. Adamu Atiku, stated that over ₦80 billion will be invested to generate 15 megawatts of power over five years through a mix of mini-grids, hybrid systems, and solar solutions. A4&T’s CEO, Mr. Ayo Ademilua, emphasized that the company has assessed local government areas to determine the most suitable power solutions, ranging from interconnected and isolated mini-grids to extended distribution systems.

The second agreement with Sparrow Mobility Limited focuses on the assembly and deployment of electric motorcycles and tricycles. The initiative aims to provide safer, eco-friendly transportation while creating jobs for youths. Commissioner for Transport, Wunfe Anthony, noted that Sparrow Mobility plans to introduce 10,000 electric motorcycles and bicycles within two years, supported by charging and assembly facilities in the state.

These initiatives are expected to reduce carbon emissions, advance clean energy adoption, and strengthen economic opportunities for Adamawa residents, marking a transformative moment for the state’s energy and transport sectors.
