
Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, held a strategic meeting with the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate, in Abuja to discuss the operationalization of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Kumo and the upgrade of the Snakebite Treatment and Research Hospital in Kaltungo.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya commended the Minister’s leadership in health sector reforms and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery across the state. He emphasized the urgent need to expand Kaltungo’s facility to address the high rate of snakebite-related fatalities.
Minister Pate applauded the Governor’s efforts in revitalizing primary healthcare and assured that FMC Kumo would be operationalized immediately, with plans underway to modernize the Kaltungo Snakebite Hospital in alignment with national health priorities.
