Vice President Kashim Shettima, representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, officially flagged off RenewHER, the Presidential Women’s Health Transformation Initiative, aimed at safeguarding maternal health and enhancing the well-being of women across Nigeria.
Speaking at the Launch Gala and Awards held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Vice President Shettima described the programme as a response to one of the nation’s most pressing needs, calling it a cornerstone of a healthier Nigeria and a national priority.
He emphasized the central role of women’s health in national development, stating, “There is no greater test of a nation’s character than the care it extends to its women. Maternal health is the heartbeat of every family, the compass of social stability, and the truest index of national welfare.”
