The Federal Government has announced the official theme for the 2025 Independence Anniversary, tagged: “Nigeria @ 65: All Hands on Deck for a Greater Nation.”
The theme underscores the importance of unity, collaboration, and patriotism among government institutions, the private sector, civil society, and citizens in building a nation defined by peace, prosperity, and progress.
Since independence on October 1, 1960, Nigeria has weathered challenges and achieved notable progress across sectors. The Federal Government stressed that collective efforts are needed to consolidate these gains and pursue greater national aspirations under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Activities lined up for the anniversary include the Juma’at Prayer on Friday, 26th September at 1:00 p.m., the Inter-Denominational Church Service on Sunday, 28th September at 10:00 a.m., and a World Press Conference on Monday, 29th September at 10:00 a.m.
