Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, has performed the groundbreaking for the reconstruction of Rigasa Township Roads in Igabi Local Government and Zango Road in Kaduna South Local Government, signalling a renewed focus on inclusive development and bridging long-standing infrastructure gaps.

Rigasa, one of Nigeria’s largest and most densely populated wards, and Zango, home to key establishments including Zango Cattle Market, Sheikh Abubakar Gumi College, and the School of Health Technology, have suffered years of neglect. The new road projects aim to open economic corridors, create jobs, and reward the resilience of residents who have contributed to the state’s growth despite infrastructural challenges.

These projects form part of the administration’s broader infrastructure renewal programme. In the first phase, 85 roads covering 785km were flagged off, with 44 already completed and the remainder nearing completion. The second phase added 50 roads and bridges spanning 550km.

The Governor stated that contractors from CCECC have assured completion of the Rigasa and Zango roads within eight months, promising that residents will soon enjoy improved mobility and economic opportunities. He urged community leaders, residents, and stakeholders to take ownership of the projects to ensure their sustainability for future generations.

Senator Sani reaffirmed that his administration remains pro-people and pro-development, committed to transforming neglected communities into thriving hubs of economic and social progress.
