The Adamawa State Hospital Services Management Board (HSMB) has commenced recruitment interviews for prospective health practitioners, marking a significant move in the state’s effort to bolster its healthcare workforce. The exercise, which involves applicants from all 21 local government areas, is being overseen by a high-powered panel chaired by the Executive Chairman of the Board, Dr. Amzaranda Aidan Pugu, alongside the Board Secretary, Musa Babayi, Starlink Consultant Mallam Sanusi Idris Medugu, and other board members and directors.
Speaking at the opening session, Dr. Pugu urged candidates to uphold discipline and decorum throughout the interviews. He emphasized that transparency, fairness, and merit would guide the selection process. The HSMB Chairman further highlighted the commitment of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri’s administration to enhancing healthcare delivery through substantial investments in human capital development. He noted that the recruitment initiative aims to fill manpower gaps across hospitals in the state and improve overall healthcare services for residents.
The interview sessions, which began on September 22, 2025, will run until September 29 at the Board’s headquarters in Yola, assessing candidates on professional competence, technical knowledge, and ethical standards.
