The Yobe State Government delegation has continued its active participation in the ongoing Leadership Course in Operations Security and Force Protection (4) at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC) in Asokoro, Abuja.
Led by the Special Adviser on Security Matters, General Dahiru Abdulsalam (rtd), the delegation engaged fully in Day Two of the intensive training, which featured high-level lectures from renowned security experts and defence strategists.
Key sessions of the day focused on “Technology and Artificial Intelligence in Unconventional and Irregular Warfare” and “Information Warfare and Strategic Communications in OPSEC.” These sessions provided deep insights into the changing nature of modern warfare, especially the growing role of artificial intelligence, cyber intelligence, and strategic information management in bolstering national and regional security operations.
The course reflects Nigeria’s broader push to modernize its security architecture and integrate advanced digital tools into intelligence and defence management. Members of the Yobe delegation expressed appreciation to General Abdulsalam for facilitating their participation, commending both the organizers and facilitators for the depth and relevance of the lectures.
They emphasized that the experience would significantly enhance their operational knowledge and strategic capacity to tackle emerging security threats in Yobe State and the North-East region.
