BENIN CITY, Nigeria — Edo State has commenced construction on the second flyover at the busy Adesuwa-Sapele Road junction, a move aimed at easing traffic congestion and improving road safety in Benin City.

Authorities have called on residents, commuters, and motorists to remain vigilant and cooperate with workers and officials on-site. Traffic diversions have been put in place, and alternative routes are recommended to avoid delays during the construction period.

The project forms part of the state government’s broader efforts to enhance road infrastructure, boost economic activities, and ensure smoother movement across major urban corridors. Officials say the flyover is expected to significantly reduce traffic bottlenecks once completed, benefiting both daily commuters and businesses operating in the area.

Edo State continues to prioritize infrastructural development, with ongoing projects targeting improved connectivity and safer roads throughout the state.
