Minister of Women Affairs Commended for Championing Women and Child Empowerment by Ondo State Commissioner

The Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, FSI, has received commendation for her leadership in advancing policies and initiatives that empower, protect, and uplift women, children, families, and vulnerable groups nationwide. The commendation came from Dr. Seun Bosede Osamaye, Ondo State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, during a courtesy visit to the Minister at the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs headquarters in Abuja.

Dr. Osamaye, who is on a two-day official assignment to attend the Validation Meeting for the State of the Nigerian Girl Report II 2025 and the 2025 International Day of the Girl Child (IDGC) Commemoration, highlighted the progress of the Aiyedatiwa-led administration in promoting women’s economic independence, access to equal opportunities, and safeguarding children from violence and harmful practices. She also reassured the Minister of Ondo State Government’s unwavering commitment to the social welfare of all residents and indigenes.

In her response, Hajiya Sulaiman-Ibrahim acknowledged the efforts of Governor Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and his wife, First Lady Mrs. Esther Oluwaseun Aiyedatiwa, in bridging the gender inequality gap by empowering women and protecting children’s rights. Discussions also focused on potential areas of collaboration between the Federal Ministry and Ondo State to facilitate opportunities that would enhance positive impacts on women and children across the state.
