Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has raised fresh concerns over rising insecurity in parts of Ekiti Local Government Area, issuing a directive for immediate and increased security deployment, particularly to the troubled Eruku axis.

The governor’s urgent request follows a new wave of attacks that has unsettled residents and heightened fears across the affected communities. According to state officials, the pattern of violence in recent days has intensified enough to warrant swift intervention.

Governor AbdulRazaq stressed that the situation requires rapid action from security agencies to prevent further harm and stabilise the area. Although details of the attacks were not disclosed, the call for reinforcements indicates growing pressure on security operatives already battling multiple threats across the state.

The government’s latest move signals a strong attempt to restore public confidence, as locals continue to demand stronger protection and quick containment of the unfolding crisis.
