The wife of Rivers State Governor, Lady Valerie Fubara, has called on women in the state to take care of their health through regular exercise, while also focusing on their spiritual growth. She made this appeal during an event called "Fitness Thursday" at the Ecumenical Center in Port Harcourt.
The event was organized by Rivers Women Unite for SIM as a warm-up for their big gathering, the 2025 Women Converge. Lady Fubara encouraged women to trust in God in everything they do and stressed that staying healthy is very important. She said, “The most important thing is for you to be healthy, knowing that a healthy heart brings a healthy life.”
Many women from different parts of Rivers State participated in the exercises, which had the theme: "A sound heart is life to the body." The First Lady also urged women to keep praying and to actively participate in the upcoming Women Converge, which is expected to bring together women from far and near.
The event aimed to remind women that taking care of both their body and soul is key to living a balanced and fulfilling life.
