Fear has gripped the Rukubi community in Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State after armed men reportedly invaded Peter’s Foundation Secondary School and abducted several students.

The attackers were said to have struck unexpectedly, forcing their way into the school and taking away an undisclosed number of students. The incident immediately threw the entire community into confusion, with parents and residents rushing around in panic as news of the invasion spread.

While details remain sketchy, the attack highlights the growing insecurity threatening rural communities and the vulnerability of schools that lack adequate protection. For many parents, the fear is not just about the students taken but the uncertainty surrounding their safety and the slow response often associated with such incidents.

Community members are now calling for swift government action to rescue the children and strengthen security around schools in the area. Authorities have yet to release an official statement, leaving many residents anxious and desperate for updates.

The abduction adds to the rising concerns over the safety of schoolchildren in the North-Central region, where attacks by armed groups have become disturbingly frequent.
