Widows in Delta State have thanked Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for quickly paying their stipends for October. The scheme helps vulnerable women, and this timely payment has brought them relief and hope.

Chief Isioma Okonta, who is in charge of the Widows Welfare Scheme, announced that all 10,000 verified widows received their stipends between October 19th and 21st. The payments were made following the Governor’s instructions to ensure widows are supported without delay.

Chief Okonta praised the Governor’s consistency in making sure the payments are on time. He said the scheme is a vital initiative that offers hope and comfort to women facing difficult circumstances.

He also shared that the enrollment process for the scheme is now complete, and the free health care registration for widows is almost finished. This additional support will help widows access medical services easily.

Many of the beneficiaries prayed for God’s guidance and strength for the Governor, as he continues his efforts to improve the lives of people in Delta State.
