Police Inspector Stabbed to Death in Akure by Suspected Cultists Linked to Governor’s Appointee

Akure, Ondo State – Tragedy struck in Akure as an inspector of police attached to the B-Division Police Station was reportedly stabbed to death by three suspected cult members during a disturbance in the area.

Eyewitnesses identified the suspects as Oladapo Oluwaseun, also known as “Choko Milo,” alongside Shina and Y2K. Choko Milo is said to be affiliated with the Eiye Confraternity and is an appointee and loyalist of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, while Shina and Y2K are reportedly members of the Aye Confraternity.

The attack has sparked widespread concern over the nexus between local cult groups and political affiliations in the state, highlighting potential risks to public safety and law enforcement personnel. Authorities are yet to release an official statement regarding arrests or ongoing investigations.

This incident underscores the ongoing challenges facing law enforcement in tackling cult-related violence and maintaining peace in Ondo State.
