Lagos State Governor today opened the 2025 Isimi Lagos Festival — The King’s Cup — with the ceremonial throw-in at the Isimi Lagos Wellness and Polo Country Estate in Epe, marking the official start of one of the state’s rising cultural and sporting gatherings.
The event, which drew residents, polo enthusiasts and members of the creative community, served not just as a sporting display but as a platform to reinforce the state’s drive toward wellness, lifestyle innovation and community-building.
The Governor said it was “a pleasure spending time with everyone who came out to support the event,” adding that he looks forward to seeing the Isimi Lagos community “continue to grow and contribute to the creativity and connection we are building across our state.”
Behind the celebration is a broader message: Lagos is increasingly leaning on community-driven hubs like Isimi to shape its future identity — blending tourism, sports, culture and wellness. The Governor’s presence signals the administration’s interest in expanding such spaces to stimulate local economies, strengthen social cohesion and position Epe as one of the state’s emerging development corridors.
