A simmering political feud appears to be brewing in Edo State as former Governor Godwin Obaseki issued a stern warning to the state’s current governor, Monday Okpebholo, amid reports of escalating tensions between the past and present administrations. “I don’t know him, and I have never met him before. Tell the governor, Okpebholo, or whatever he calls himself, that when you start with violence, you will reap violence,” Obaseki said, his remarks conveying both defiance and determination. He further stressed that he will actively respond if attacked. “I will not fold my hands while they attack me. I am going to fight back.”
