The Abia State Police Command has rescued a dark-complexioned boy, approximately four years old, identified as Jeremiah Emmanuel Gimba, who is suspected to be from Nasarawa State. The child, who reportedly has no tribal markings, was taken into police care as investigations continue to determine the circumstances surrounding his situation.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Maureen Chinaka, confirmed that inquiries are ongoing to establish the boy’s identity and trace his parents or guardians. Authorities have advised parents or guardians of any missing child matching this description to visit the Gender Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) at the Abia State Police Command headquarters, or contact the Police Public Relations Department for guidance.
The Commissioner of Police in Abia State has assured the public that the command is committed to ensuring the safety and protection of children, emphasizing that every effort will be made to reunite Jeremiah Emmanuel Gimba with his family. Police officials are appealing to members of the public to provide any relevant information that could assist in the ongoing investigation.
