A man is currently being sought by police in Oyo State after his girlfriend was found dead under distressing circumstances in Ibadan, prompting a full-scale investigation and a manhunt for the suspect.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, March 7, 2026, in the Oguntula area of Ojoo, within the Akinyele Local Government Area of Ibadan, the state capital. Police confirmed that the lifeless body of 26-year-old Precious Mogaji was discovered at the entrance of her boyfriend’s room after a concerned resident reported the sighting to authorities. Officers from the Oyo State Police Command were immediately dispatched to the scene following the alert.
According to the police, the woman’s body was found lying motionless on the floor outside the doorway of the suspect’s room shortly after midnight. Preliminary examinations were carried out by forensics teams, who documented the scene and gathered evidence in line with standard investigative procedures.
