The Lagos State Police Command has reported a successful operation in Mushin with the arrest of a 30-year-old man, Dare Shogaolu, popularly known as “Super M,” and the recovery of a locally made pistol. The arrest occurred during a routine stop-and-search patrol conducted by the Anti-Crime Patrol Team of Mushin Division on March 5, 2026, at approximately 10:00 pm along the LUTH Road axis.
Police operatives, led by the Divisional Police Officer, approached Shogaolu after noticing his suspicious behavior while carrying a white and orange-yellow polythene bag. A search of the bag revealed a locally made pistol. Additional items recovered included a black leather purse, charms, and three pairs of slippers.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Shogaolu has been involved in multiple criminal activities in the Mushin area and is suspected of causing disturbances within the community. He is currently in police custody as investigations continue, with authorities working to identify and apprehend other members of his criminal network.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Jimoh, reaffirmed the command’s commitment to proactive policing and the safety of residents. He encouraged the public to assist the police by providing credible and timely information through the command’s emergency lines.
