The Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, CP Bode Ojajuni, has described children as the future and leaders of tomorrow, whose proper upbringing, education, and moral development remain essential to national growth and sustainable development. The police chief made the remarks on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, while hosting the Commandant of Police Secondary School, Sagamu, CSP Nanloh Rindap, alongside the school’s management team and students, at the Command Headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta, as part of activities marking the 2026 Children’s Day celebration.
During the courtesy visit, CSP Nanloh Rindap commended CP Bode Ojajuni for his exemplary leadership, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to the welfare, discipline, and development of officers, personnel, and members of the Police community. Rindap noted that the school has continued to benefit from the Command’s support, particularly in the areas of discipline, moral instruction, and educational development. Speaking on behalf of the students, Miss Oluwadarasimi Adeyemo expressed appreciation to the Commissioner of Police and the management team of the Ogun State Police Command for their continuous encouragement and support towards students of the institution. She further appreciated the Command for promoting values of discipline, academic excellence, and positive character development among young people.
In his remarks, CP Ojajuni congratulated the students and children across Ogun State and Nigeria on the occasion of the 2026 Children’s Day celebration. He urged the students to remain disciplined, focused on their studies, respectful to constituted authority, and committed to values that promote peace, unity, integrity, and patriotism. He emphasized that through hard work, determination, and proper guidance, Nigerian children possess the capacity to become responsible leaders who will positively shape the future of the nation. CP Ojajuni further reassured children, parents, and members of the public of the Ogun State Police Command’s unwavering commitment to ensuring a safe, secure, and conducive environment for children to learn, grow, and achieve their aspirations without fear or intimidation.
Also speaking during the engagement, members of the Command’s management team commended the leadership of Police Secondary School, Sagamu, for its sustained commitment to academic excellence, discipline and moral instruction. They encouraged the students to remain law-abiding, committed to their educational pursuits and determined to become responsible citizens and future leaders. The Commissioner of Police further reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to supporting initiatives and programmes that promote youth development, educational advancement and institutional growth within the Police community and the society at large.
