A devastating road accident on the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road has left popular Nigerian music promoter and socialite, Samson Balogun, widely known as Sam Larry, hospitalised, while his bouncer tragically lost his life.
The fatal crash occurred in the early hours of Saturday, July 4, 2026. According to multiple reports, the vehicle conveying Sam Larry collided with a trailer along the coastal highway. The impact was severe, with the car reportedly ramming into the trailer and sustaining extensive damage, particularly to its front end.
The collision claimed the life of Sam Larry's bouncer, who was said to have died at the scene. The music promoter was rushed to a hospital in critical condition. Social media was flooded with videos and photographs showing the mangled vehicle, raising concerns about the severity of the crash and the condition of those involved.
The incident gained public attention after comedian and master of ceremonies, Mario Wazobia, shared posts on Instagram calling for prayers for the music promoter.
