No fewer than 174 candidates have been fielded by 12 political parties to contest the 26 seats in the Ekiti State House of Assembly in the 2027 general election, according to documents released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The figures, contained in Form EC9 and signed by the Ekiti State Legal Officer I of INEC, Sina Ogundana, show that while some political parties have fielded candidates in all 26 constituencies across the state, others are contesting only a handful of the available seats.
