A man has allegedly killed his wife following a domestic dispute linked to the sale of landed property before dying by suicide in Agbarho, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.

The incident reportedly occurred at the couple’s residence on Owiri Street in Agbarho, leaving their four children without their parents.

The husband was identified in a report by TheNewsGuru, published on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, as “Paul Okoh”, although the publication stated that the name was not his real identity.

According to the report, the dispute was allegedly linked to disagreements over the transfer and sale of landed property, alongside accusations of infidelity. The man was said to have been angered by claims that his wife had transferred documents relating to his property into her name before selling it to a prospective buyer.

A neighbour reportedly told Daily Watch that the couple had experienced repeated domestic disputes and physical confrontations. The neighbour said the couple had previously been separated because of the disagreements.

The man’s elder brother, who spoke to the publication without disclosing his identity, expressed sadness over the deaths and said he did not know what had triggered the final confrontation.

A police officer at Agbarho Police Station reportedly confirmed that the bodies had been evacuated to a morgue for further investigation. The report also stated that the family had not formally lodged a complaint as of the time of publication.

The Delta State Police Command had not publicly confirmed the full circumstances of the incident in the reports reviewed. The identities of the deceased and the precise sequence of events therefore remain subject to official confirmation.

The incident has renewed concerns about domestic violence and the devastating consequences of unresolved disputes within families. The couple’s four children are reportedly among those left to cope with the aftermath of the tragedy.
