Governors under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gathered in Gusau, Zamfara State, for a gala night and dinner hosted by Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal Dare, ahead of the PDP Governors’ Forum meeting scheduled for the following day.
The event brought together PDP governors, including Bauchi State Governor and PDP Governors’ Forum Chairman, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, to celebrate party unity and discuss strategic directions ahead of the Forum meeting.
Speaking at the event, Acting National Chairman of the PDP, Ambassador Iliya Damagun, praised the Forum for maintaining cohesion within the party. He emphasized that the PDP has overcome past divisions, positioning itself as united, resilient, and determined to reclaim its leading role in Nigeria’s political landscape.
Governor Bala Mohammed also commended his Zamfara counterpart for the transformational initiatives implemented in the state, highlighting the progress and development achieved under Governor Lawal’s leadership.
The gala night reinforced the spirit of collaboration and unity among PDP governors, reflecting a strategic focus on strengthening party cohesion and fostering collective action ahead of critical engagements and policy deliberations.
