In a significant political development in Taraba State, three members of the State House of Assembly have formally joined the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP), further consolidating the party’s influence in the legislature.
The lawmakers who defected include Hon. Umar Adamu, representing Jalingo 1 Constituency (from NNPP), Hon. Barr. Zakari Sanusi Bala Wakili, representing Ibi Constituency (from NNPP), and Hon. Anas Shuaibu Didango, representing Karim 2 Constituency (from APGA).
The move is seen as a significant endorsement of the leadership of His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas, Executive Governor of Taraba State, and underscores the confidence of the people’s representatives in the PDP’s policies, performance, and developmental agenda across the state.
Political analysts suggest that this wave of defections reflects the growing trust in the PDP’s vision and its efforts to drive progress in Taraba State.
The defection also strengthens the party’s legislative majority, positioning it to more effectively implement its agenda in the State Assembly.
This development comes ahead of upcoming political activities in the state, signaling a dynamic realignment of political forces in Taraba.
