Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has joined President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on an official state visit to Brazil, participating in high-level engagements designed to strengthen bilateral ties and boost economic cooperation between the two nations.

Governor Mutfwang, who was officially invited to the delegation, was part of the top Nigerian officials who received President Tinubu at the Air Base in Brasília. The state visit includes a series of bilateral discussions and the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) that will enhance trade, investment, and strategic partnerships between Nigeria and Brazil.

During the visit, President Tinubu is scheduled to meet with key Brazilian authorities, including the President of the Senate, the President of the Chamber of Deputies, and the President of the Supreme Federal Court. The President will also participate in the Nigeria-Brazil Business Forum, an event expected to open new opportunities for Nigerian businesses and investors.

Governor Mutfwang’s presence highlights Plateau State’s increasing role in national development initiatives. Recently, Plateau was selected as one of six states in Nigeria to host the regional hub of the $1.1 billion Green Imperative Project, a partnership with Brazil aimed at agricultural mechanisation and agro-industrialisation. The project is expected to supply tractors and farm equipment, creating jobs and boosting local production in Plateau State and across Nigeria.

The Governor is set to engage with both government and private sector stakeholders during the visit, ensuring that Plateau State fully benefits from the ongoing Nigeria-Brazil collaboration.
