The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kaduna State has expelled several senior officials, including the Deputy Chairman, as part of sweeping internal reforms aimed at consolidating the opposition and strengthening the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The announcement was made during a press conference on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the Golden Orange Gate Hotel, Narayi High Cost, Kaduna. The ADC leadership stated that the move was necessary to protect the party from alleged attempts by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to destabilize opposition efforts through “mercenary politicians.”

The expelled officials include Alhaji Ahmed Tijjani Mustapha (Deputy Chairman), Engr. Idris Musa (State Publicity Secretary), Suleiman Abdullahi (State Vice Chairman, Zone 1), Gambo Sani (State Treasurer), Magaji Maiwada (State Financial Secretary), Danlami Dabai (State Legal Adviser), Sakura Muhammed (State Coordinator of Persons With Disabilities), Ibrahim Muhammed, and Mansur Gaga (Deputy Youth Leaders).

Additionally, Hon. Adamu Ahmed Dattijo, Alhaji Suleiman Abdullahi, and Senator Musa Bello were blacklisted for allegedly initiating legal proceedings against key coalition figures without following internal party dispute mechanisms. The ADC accused them of collaborating with APC agents to undermine opposition reorganization efforts.

To strengthen its leadership and foster unity, the party appointed Senator Nenadi Usman as Chairman and Hon. Muhammad Bashir Saidu as Co-Chairman of the Kaduna State Coalition. The duo is expected to serve as the central rallying point for coalition activities, positioning the ADC as a credible alternative to the ruling party ahead of the 2027 elections.

The ADC leadership urged members and the public to sever all engagements with the expelled and blacklisted individuals, emphasizing its commitment to building a disciplined, united, and people-focused political movement in Kaduna State.
