The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State has fired back at the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing its recent statement against the ruling party as a “baseless rant” from a faction-ridden opposition struggling to survive its own internal crisis.

In a statement signed by the party’s Director of Media, Hon. Hezekiah Oladele Bamiji, the PDP accused the APC of fabricating stories to divert attention from its leadership battles and disunity.

“It is laughable that a party neck-deep in leadership battles and endless factional disputes is accusing the PDP of fabrications. The truth is that the Osun APC is at war with itself, and its frustrated leaders are merely seeking scapegoats to mask their disunity,” Bamiji said.

He emphasized that Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration remains focused on service delivery and development across the state, citing ongoing projects in road construction, healthcare, education, and prompt payment of workers’ salaries.

“While the APC is busy trading blames, the PDP government is busy changing lives. That’s the difference,” he added.

The PDP further stated that the Adeleke-led government has restored credibility, accountability, and citizens’ confidence in governance, stressing that the party’s achievements speak louder than any propaganda from the opposition.

The party also urged journalists and the public to verify any claims originating from the APC before publication, describing the opposition’s actions as “desperate attempts to mask internal chaos.”

Bamiji reaffirmed the PDP’s commitment to peace, good governance, and unity, stating that Osun people are standing firmly behind Governor Adeleke’s leadership.

“We will not trade progress for propaganda or development for distraction. Osun has moved forward under the light of good leadership, and there is no going back,” he concluded.
