The Edo State Government has issued a stern warning to individuals involved in illegal land dealings on Lot A (Coral City) within the Obagie Acquisition, Benin City. The state emphasized that all land in Lot A belongs to the government, cautioning land grabbers and encroachers against selling, buying, or constructing on the area.
While plans are underway to regularize and return Lots B, C, and D of the Obagie Acquisition to rightful owners, the government stressed that any unauthorized activity on Lot A will attract prosecution and demolition of structures. The notice underscores the administration of Governor Monday Okpebholo commitment to enforcing property rights and protecting government-owned land across Edo State.
Fred Itua, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, reiterated that the warning is final and urged compliance to avoid legal consequences.
