The Chairman of Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara at the National Hajj Commission (NAHCON), Alhaji Mustapha Abbas, has praised the efforts of the Alhazzai of Kebbi State, led by Alhaji Faruk Aliyu Yaro (Jagaban Gwandu), for their role in promoting development both within the state and nationally. Speaking recently, Alhaji Abbas expressed satisfaction with the achievements of Kebbi under the leadership of Governor Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu), noting the significant reduction in the number of pilgrims this year as a result of the collective efforts of the Alhazzai.

Alhaji Faruk Aliyu Yaro, the chairman of the Alhazzai of Kebbi State, urged NAHCON to review and audit the taxes collected by the Alhazzai in previous years. He emphasized that the funds could be directed toward impactful projects, such as repairing sections of pilgrimage stations, improving airport facilities, or constructing public infrastructure like hospitals. The Alhazzai leadership stressed the importance of transparency and accountability in utilizing resources to further contribute to state and national development.
