The Benue State Police Command has dismantled a major criminal hideout in Makurdi and rescued six children from suspected traffickers along the Orokam–Enugu Road, following two coordinated operations in the state.

According to police sources, the first operation targeted a criminal hideout in Makurdi, leading to the arrest of suspects and the seizure of items linked to criminal activities. The second operation focused on the trafficking network, resulting in the safe recovery of six children and the detention of those allegedly involved.

The police command described the operations as part of its ongoing efforts to combat crime, human trafficking, and protect vulnerable citizens in Benue State. Authorities have urged the public to provide information on criminal activities to support law enforcement efforts.
