The Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, hosted a special gathering of Nigeria’s top leaders, royal leaders, and distinguished guests at a cocktail reception in Yola. The event took place in preparation for the upcoming 2025 Marghi National Day and the unveiling of a new traditional attire for the Marghi people.
The celebration aimed to promote unity, celebrate Nigerian culture, and strengthen political and social ties among the people. The event was filled with warmth, goodwill, and a sense of national pride, bringing together some of the most influential figures in Nigerian politics and public service.
Among those present were the PDP National Chairman, Bala Mohammed; respected political leader Turaki; former PDP National Chairman Ambassador Umar Iliya Damagum; the current PDP National Secretary; former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; as well as royal majesties and other notable dignitaries from across Nigeria.
The occasion turned the Adamawa Government House into a vibrant hub of celebration, cultural pride, and unity. The Marghi community, known for their rich cultural heritage, views this event as a historic milestone to preserve their traditions and pass them on to future generations.
