Popular Nigerian musician 2Baba, also known as Innocent Idibia, has teamed up with the Made in Benue Movement to support and showcase the talents and culture of Benue State. This partnership was officially announced on Thursday, November 20, 2025, during a joint press conference in Abuja.

During the event, 2Baba and OD WOODS, founder of the Made in Benue Movement, signed an agreement to work together. 2Baba expressed his strong desire to help turn the movement into a national and even global platform that highlights the creativity and potential of Benue people.

He described the project as more than just an event — calling it a cultural, economic, and social awakening for Benue. “Made in Benue is a movement to show the strength and talent of our people,” he said.

The singer also called on the Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, to support the movement as part of efforts to empower young people and boost the state’s economy. He urged corporations, government agencies, and development partners to collaborate and invest in this vision.

The Made in Benue Movement started in 2016 and has grown into one of Nigeria’s most exciting cultural events, providing a platform for music, dance, crafts, and other creative talents. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the movement, and it will now be a multi-day festival instead of a single-day event.

The 2025 festival will include exhibitions in fashion, leatherworks, food, tourism, and hospitality. OD WOODS explained that the goal is to create a bigger platform where artisans, entrepreneurs, and creatives can share their stories, sell their crafts, and connect with potential partners and investors.

He also expressed optimism that partnering with 2Baba will bring new energy and opportunities to the movement. OD WOODS emphasized that 2Baba’s involvement is about mentorship and giving back, not just performing.

Thanks to his experience and international connections, 2Baba is expected to open new doors for the next generation of talents in Benue. The highlight of the festival will be the Made in Benue Live Concert and Festival, scheduled for December 26, 2025, in Makurdi, Benue State.
