A Chinese agricultural company has introduced a new farming product in Kano, signalling renewed efforts to strengthen Nigeria–China collaboration in the agricultural sector. The product, unveiled at an event attended by government officials, farmer groups and industry stakeholders, is designed to help farmers increase crop yields while reducing post-harvest losses — two major challenges affecting food production in the region.
The company behind the innovation said the product was developed to provide farmers with affordable and efficient solutions that can immediately improve productivity. Officials from the Kano State Ministry of Agriculture described the move as a welcome step toward modernizing farming practices and closing gaps that slow down agricultural growth.
